Rockness 2012 only 2 weeks away

The sun is shining and won’t stop now for months (hopefully!), and this means only one thing… Festival season is upon us!

One of the first major festivals to get the summer underway is Rockness 2012. Booked to headline this years festival is: Mumford & Sons, Deadmau5 and Biffy Clyro. Other performances across the week include: Ed Sheera, Justice, Friendly Fires, Noah & The Whale, The View, Metronomy and much much more.

Cincinnati, Ohio’s favourites The National will be performing and curating this years All Tomorow’s Parties festival, and have today announced the second wave of artists to perform at the 3 day festival held at the Butlin’s Holiday Centre in Minehead.

Kurt Vile, Local Natives, Deerhoof, Menomena, Stars Of The Lid, Bear In Heaven, Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire) and much more will perform alongside The National, The Antler, Suuns, Sharon Van Etten and much more!

Latitude Festival held in the beautiful surroundings of Suffolk has announced the line up for a new stage and much much more announced across all 3 days.

The line up for the Lake Stage curated by BBC Radio 1′s Huw Stephens has been confirmed. Expect to see performances from: Los Campesinos!, Clock Opera, Herman Dune, Toy, Lucy Rose, Alt-J, Seye, The Crookes, Kwes, Tall Ships, Polica, Cate Le Bon, Theme Park & much more.

Also announced is: Sadler’s Wells presents Pet Shop Boys collaboration ‘The Most Incredible Thing’, Matthew Bourne’s Early Adventures: Spitfire, Jeremy Deller showcases new film, Royal Albert Hall presents Avant-Pop Classical Hahn-Bin, Story Telling from Wordtheatre with Dan Stevens, Gemma Arterton & Diana Vickers.

The legendary Vans Warped Tour will be making its first stop in theUKin 13 years this November. Vans WarpedUK2012 will see over 10,000 music lovers descend on North London’sAlexandraPalaceon Saturday November 10th. Heading up the bill are Welsh chart-topping rockers Lostprophets, who take their stunning new album ‘Weapons’ across the UK, and former Vans Warped Tour US headliners Bring Me The Horizon, who bring their only UK show of 2012 to the Vans Warped UK stage.

Joining them is an impressive array of acts spanning the alternative genres, both established artists and the hottest new talent. From pop-punk legends New Found Glory and ska-punk heroes Less Than Jake to the new breed of acts, including Man Overboard and The Story So Far

And it doesn’t end there, with appearances already confirmed from 3OH!3, The Acacia Strain, Awolnation, A Loss For Words,  A Skylit Drive, Architects, Blood On The Dance Floor, Bury Tomorrow, Crossfaith, Dead Sara, Family Force 5, Me Vs Hero, Middle Finger Salute, Yashin, and a heap more names still to be announced.

Although far removed from the summer sunshine of itsUScousin, Vans WarpedUKwill recreate the historical Waroed tour vibe, with UK Vert Skate.

This summer’s festival sees the return of The Boy Least Likely To with support from Trophy Wife, The Blood Arm, My Tiger My Timing, The Lovely Eggs and Yes Sir Boss. Fingathing, loaded with new material, will also be joining in the fun alongside the previously announced headliners Submotion Orchestra and Man Like Me + some more special guests to be announce very soon.
2012 also sees beat connoisseurs Appleblim, PBR Streetgang, The Disablists (DMC Champs) and Will White (of the Propellerheads) front up the late night wiggle deliver.


In 2006, a small group of friends native toSomerset made the decision to host an intimate, cost-effective festival for their friends as an alternative to the events dominating the English Summer. Farmfestival’s subsequent success has seen attendances grow organically through word of mouth, from an initial 400 to its capped 4000 capacity.

The first acts confirmed to perform at this years Underage Festival have been announced. BIGKids, Dry The River, Fixers, Iceage, Maverick Sabre, Outfit, Pulled Apart By Horses, Rustie, Spector, Summer Camp & Theme Park will be playing.

The world’s first and only strictly 13–17’s festival is returning to London for a sixth year this August. From the team behind fellow London day festivals Field Day and The Apple Cart, Underage Festival continues to become a respected event in the festival calendar and has become synonymous with credible and pioneering line ups, acting as a platform for teenagers to catch both established and hotly tipped emerging artists. Due to the London 2012 Olympics, Underage will now take place at the new location of Shoreditch Park at the later date of Friday 31st August.

Today it has been announced that Groove Aramada will be playing a rare and exclusive full live performance at this years Lovebox Festival. As co-organisers of the festival Groove Armada promise to make the Saturday a truly unforgettable night. Maverick Sabre, Rita Ora, Stooshe, Devlin, Delilah and more have also been added to the bill.

Yesterday, Y Not Festival announced thier final headliner for this years festival as The View. The Dundee band will take to the stage on the Friday night playing songs from all 3 of their albums.

The announcements do not stop there; also added to the bill are: Hadouken!, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Lucy Rose, Bastille, The Crookes, Shields, The Black Hands & Smiling Ivy.

The award winning Y Not Festival is held in the beautiful surroundings of The Peak District between the 3rd & 5th August. Also confirmed to appear are We Are Scientists (Sunday headline), The Wombats (Saturday headline), The Subways, Pulled Apart By Horses, Little Comets, Rolo Tomassi, Brontide and much much more. Drum and bass sensation Friction will be joined by MC Linguistics for his headline set at LeeFest in June.  Also at the top of the dance bill is Raf Daddy from The 2 Bears and, two years on from his LeeFest debut, Jakwob returns with his much acclaimed live set. Urban Nerds will occupy the LeeFest big top for an evening presenting Dismantle, Marcus Nasty Ft. Rankin and Rattus Rattus. Sai, Hatesy and Jesse James have also been announced to play at the non-profit festival in Kent.

These names complete the eclectic LeeFest bill for this year. Mystery Jets, Slow Club and Ghostpoet also feature across the 3 main stages.
