The weekend of the 1st / 2nd June, the picturesque village of Ireby is taken over by Folk music fans for the annual Ireby Festival. Truck Festival gets even bigger!

The Truck Festival line up has expanded yet again, with the addition of 6 more acts. These are: Emmy The Great, Lucy Rose, Kill It Kid, This Town Needs Guns, Michele Stodart & Josh Kumra.

These names have been added to the already brilliant bill including: Mystery Jets, The Temper Trap, Tim Minchin, British Sea Power, Villagers, The Low Anthem, 65 Days of Static and much more. Too many to even list!

La Route Du Rock add more bands!

Further acts have been confirmed for this years La Route Du Rock Festival, which is held in the Northern French coastal town of St Malo.

Mazzy Star, Mark Lanegan, The Walkmen, Cloud Nothings & Willis Earl Beal will join the already announced: The XX, Stephen Malkmus, Spiritualized and more.

The line up has been confirmed for the NME/Radio 1 stage at this years Reading & Leeds Festivals. Already confirmed to headline arehe Maccabees, Justice and the reformed At The Drive In.

Joining them on the bill are: Friday Reading / Leeds Saturday. The Maccabees, Foster The People, The Courteeners, Graham Coxon, Passion Pit, The Blackout, The Hives, Spector, Friends, Chiddy Bang & Here We Go Magic.

Saturday Reading Leeds / Sunday. At The Drive In, The Cribs, Mastodon, Billy Talent, Miike Snow, Santigold, Dry The River, Twin Atlantic, Pure Love & Futuresound Competition Winner (TBC).

Leefest 2012 announces more acts!

 LeeFest have revealed that Slow Club and Ghostpoet will join Mystery Jets at the non-profit music and arts festival in June.

Bastille, The Skints, Man Like Me, Casiokids, Sound of Guns, FOE and Seye are also set to play at Highams Hill Farm in Kent.

These artists join a bill already featuring Summer Camp, Raf Daddy (The 2 Bears), Tom Williams and the Boat, To Kill A King, We Were Evergreen, BIGKids, Public Service Broadcasting, Broken Hands and Lion.

Other line-up additions announced this week include Lets Buy Happiness, By The Rivers, Fever Fever, Ill Murray, The Brownies, Grand Pocket Orchestra, The Title Sequence, Bwani Junction, Josh Beech & the Johns, Bonfire Nights, Hella Better Dancer, Youth Imperial, Santiago Street Machine, Van Susans, Red Lapels, Aaron Delahunty, Colour Clouds, Sea Stacks and Matt Emery.

The Hop farm festival that had its line up expanded yesterday across all 3 stages, and today they announce that day specific tickets will are on sale today!

Friday will see a UK exclusive appearance by Pete Gabriel & The New Blood Orchestra, Ray Davies, George Clinton and much more. Saturday sees Bob Dylan play an UK exclusive show with a rare performance by Damien Rice and the queen of punk Patti Smith. Reformed British rockers Suede bring the festival to a close on Sunday with an exclusive performance by The Verve’s Richard Ashcroft and Kool & The Gang.

Finally as announced last week Leonard Cohen will be playing an exclusive outdoor seated show at The Hop Farm on the 8th September, expect a 3+ hour set of all the classics, this show is not to be missed!

More bands added to Hard Rock Calling 2012

Hard Rock Calling, the three day music festival held in London’s Hyde Park has expanded its line up and added bands onto all 3 days.

Friday which sees reunited Soundgarden headline, already confirmed to support are Iggy & the Stooges & Cold Chisel. Joining them is: Black Stone Cherry, Kids In Glass Houses, Skindred & Life In Film.

Saturday headlined by the mighty Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, also performing are: John Fogerty, Lady Antebllum, Amy Mcdonald, Gary Clark Jr, NEEDTOBREATHE, The Night & Jonathan Wilson.

Sunday which sees Paul Simon bring his landmark record ‘Graceland’ to Hyde Park. Already confirmed to perform are Alison Krauss & Union Station & Jerry Douglas. Today Christina Perri, Big Country, The Guillemots, Punch Brothers, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Robert Ellis, Marlon Roudetten & Marcus Foster have been added to the bill.

The lock up stage showcasing the best in punk, rock, metal and everything inbetween has announced the acts playing for the 2 days at Reading & Leeds this year. Hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Mike Davies, presenter of the Punk Show, he commented “Having an incredible Punk Rock line-up every summer has become a standard for the Lock Up Stage… and this year is no different. Old favourites, new heroes and even surprise guests… we have it all and it will be one hell of a festival.”

Confirmed to play are: (Friday Reading, Leeds Saturday): Social Distortion, Anti Flag, Every Time I Die, Bouncing Souls, Saves The Day, Touche Amore, A Wilhelm Scream, Ceremony, Random Hand, Star F*cking Hipsters, Dead to Me & Pettybone. (Friday Leeds, Reading Sunday): Less Than Jake, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Gallows, Turbonegro, Trash Talk, Good Riddance, The Skints, Polar Bear Club, This Is Hell, The Flatliners & Apologies, I Have None.

There has also been new additions to the dance stage, already confirmed to play are: Metronomy, Katy B,  Jaguar Skills, Azaelia Banks and joining them are: Modestep, Feed Me, Grimes, Japanese Popstars, Clement Marfo and the Frontline, Jagga & Zinc (DJ Set)

British Sea Power, Pulled Apart By Horses, Little Comets, Slow Club, Cast of Cheers, Sound Of Guns, Fixers, Proxies, Phantom Limb, Skinny Lister, The Good Natured, Young Aviators & ME  have all been confirmed to be playing Y Not Festival, the annual bash held in the beautiful surroundings of The Peak District, held over the weekend of 3rd August.

Also, further acts have been announced to play the Giant Squad stage, with a focus on alternative, punk, metal and everything inbetween. Confirmed to perform on this stage are headliners Lower Than Atlantis Rolo Tomassi and Dinosaur Pile Up. Joining them are: Canterbury, Straight Lines, Exit Ten, Delta Alaska, Juniors, Alright the Captain, Scutty Neighbours, Without Maps, Trillionaires, The Hush, Bleech, Troops of Mafeking.
